Is Social Media part of Traditional Media?
First, let’s understand what “social” and “media” stands for.
The “social” part refers to interacting with other people by sharing information with them and receiving information from them.
The “media” part refers to an instrument or device of communication, like: TV, radio, and newspapers are examples of more traditional forms of media.
Now, back to the topic: traditional media, as mentioned earlier, is not part of a social media (remember TV, radio, and newspapers!). At least not quite yet entirely.

Online platform is a great place to admire yourself! Users posts many things about themselves on social media which only represents a small portion of their life.
A time comes when bragging about yourself doesn’t intrigue the followers. While the followers may see someone who’s happy and living it up via their posts on social sites, the truth is that users have the power to completely control what parts they do and don’t want to broadcast on online platforms to manipulate their own self-image.
Future of Social Media
As of now, it’s difficult to predict anything precisely, but if one thing can be said about the future of social media, it will probably be more personalized and less interfering. Over-sharing will be less of a problem and filtering out irrelevant information will make the top most priority.
